Metals by Kylie Jenner is a collection of matte lipsticks with a metal effect created by Kylie Jenner and released through Kylie Cosmetics. The shades are handpicked by Kylie herself. Each lipstick costs $18. They were first released on April 15, 2016 and sold out within 40 minutes. The collection was inspired by the festival Coachella.
Background[edit | edit source]
Liquid lipstick meets metallic. Wearable, yet bold. Matte, yet creamy. The Metal Matte Lipstick provides a saturated lay down of incandescent pearls with a creamy demi-matte finish. This hybrid technology leaves the lips feeling nourished, full and smooth and provides bold, ongoing wear.

Original Shades[edit | edit source]
The first three metal matte shades were released on April 15, 2016. The ‘King K’ shade is a true gold. The 'Heir' shade is a pinkish gold. The ‘Reign’ shade is a ruddy copper.
Other Colors[edit | edit source]
Kymajesty[edit | edit source]
After she asked her fans what color they want to see next, many said they wanted black. In May, Kylie Jenner announced Majesty. The shade is a blackened gunmetal sprinkled with silver and multi-colored glitter on top. She later renamed it to Kymajesty. The metal was released on June 16.
Lord[edit | edit source]
Lord is a true metallic gold created as a part of the Limited Edition Birthday Collection. This special shade cost $19 because it contains real gold in honor of Kylie’s 19th birthday. It was sold in limited edition gold packaging. It premiered on August 1 and was sold out within 10 minutes. Lord was available until August 10.
Dancer[edit | edit source]
Dancer is a shimmering ruby wine metal matte lipstick released by Kylie Cosmetics as a holiday limited-edition shade on November 21, 2016.
